Newsroom and Social Media Coverage of an Event

If your program is hosting an event, the Office of Public Outreach and Communication can help promote the upcoming event on social media, and after the event, post coverage on SEBS/NJAES Newsroom. For post-event coverage, please provide the following:

  1. A 3–4 paragraph description of the event, covering the "who, what, when, where, and why." Consider including how many attended and the affiliations of attendees.
  2. An agenda of the event
  3. Include name, title, and affiliation of people mentioned in text and/or photos
  4. 1–3 quotes from event organizer, speaker attendee, etc.
  5. 1–4 photos
    1. Model release forms must be signed
    2. Suggestions for event photos include group poses of speakers, organizers and/or attendees – keep in mind an attractive background such as on the steps in front of a building, attractive wall as backdrop, etc.
    3. Provide photo captions with subjects identified (unless it is a large group shot) and photo credit
